"Kangqiao Bakery" started in 2012 as a family kitchen. After nine years of hard work and with my husband's support, this is a big step and another beginning.
The studio was bought from a kind-looking, amiable elderly British couple. It's a Victorian building dating back to 1866, 100 years older than me 😊
May this house become a place where "health thrives and delicious flavors fill the air" in the future. 🏠
Vision:
1. We hope to promote Taiwanese pastries in the UK, blending Chinese and Western culinary cultures, innovating and rejuvenating them, and giving them a new direction for the future. Let British afternoon tea lead the way in Taiwanese flavors!
2. Regularly organize culinary workshops, exchange ideas with chefs from all over the world, uphold the principle that only by striving for excellence can one break through and achieve self-realization, and arrange for interested people to share the learning experience.
3. Making various snacks and desserts with a hometown flavor can make people feel warm and cozy. Food can warm the hearts of those who are far from home and satisfy their homesickness.
4. Provide job opportunities to the more disadvantaged in society, enabling them to support themselves and build greater self-confidence.
5. Donating a portion of the profits to organizations in need to support charitable causes and using my career to support my mission makes what I do increasingly interesting, warming the world with delicious food.
6. Provide a lounge for public lectures, charity events, small exhibitions, or musical performances, so that we can work together to spread the "light of love" in this society.
People who eat desserts are happy, and people who make desserts are the creators of happiness. I aspire to be a baker who creates happiness, and I hope to promote pineapple cakes and Taiwanese pastries in the UK and throughout Europe, making them a source of pride for Taiwan.
In the future, I want the rolling pin in my hand to become the wand of a little angel, hoping that I will have more ability to spread happiness and good deeds throughout the world!
