Vegetarian Hakka cakes are made with a skin of cudweed, glutinous rice flour, and rice flour, and a filling of dried Taiwanese radish, mushrooms, vegetarian meat, dried radish, brown sugar, and fried shallots.
Steam it over high heat until cooked through, and eat it while it's hot. It has a chewy, salty, and sweet texture, just like salty mochi.
