#Taiwan Tourism Bureau Invites Kang Chiao Bakery to Teach Foreigners How to Make Pineapple Cakes #UsingFoodForPeopleDiplomacy #Using pineapple cakes to let the world see Taiwan Today, we are very grateful to the Taiwan Tourism Bureau's London Office for inviting Kang Chiao Bakery to teach foreigners how to make pineapple cakes, introducing this famous Taiwanese souvenir to everyone, and letting the British taste the deliciousness of Taiwanese desserts. Ms. Angie, the person in charge of " Deerland Tea " , which recently won the "Global Young Entrepreneur Potential Star" award from the Overseas Community Affairs Council, also introduced Taiwanese tea to everyone at the event . #Always follow your passion

Owning my own baking studio is my dream and a big decision. Actually, I'm also afraid of failure and don't believe I have the ability. But courage is not the cessation of fear, but the discovery that there are things more important than fear, and from this moment on, I embark on my journey. I must choose between "who I believe myself to be" and "who I can become." Is it possible for dreams to come true simply by believing in them? But at least I'll give it a try in this lifetime; it's never wrong. In my heart, the passion for life lies not only in happily doing what you love, but also in showing enthusiasm to those around...

Kangqiao Bakery finally has its own studio.

Thank God, Thank you, husband. Thank you all for your support. "Kangqiao Bakery" started in 2012 as a family kitchen. After nine years of hard work and with my husband's support, this is a big step and another beginning. The studio was bought from a kind-looking, amiable elderly British couple. It's a Victorian building dating back to 1866, 100 years older than me 😊 May this house become a place where "health thrives and delicious flavors fill the air" in the future. 🏠 Vision: 1. We hope to promote Taiwanese pastries in the UK, blending Chinese and Western culinary cultures, innovating and rejuvenating them, and giving them a new direction for the future. Let British afternoon tea lead the way...

Taiwan's Representative Office in the UK (Summary)

Taiwan's Representative Office in the UK (Summary) First of all, thank you to the Facebook page administrator of "Immigrant Stories Across the Ocean" for the invitation, which gave me the opportunity to recount my experiences running "Kangqiao Bakery" in the UK over the past nine years. Thank you all for enjoying my story. 🙏🏻 Seeing everyone's encouragement and affirmation touched me deeply. 🥰 I hope that sharing my years of experience can bring some positive energy to everyone. I myself once doubted myself. A housewife who couldn't speak fluent English and didn't even know how to use an oven seemed like an impossible task to start a business in a foreign land. But thinking back to my father, who only...

"Taiwan's Station in the UK" (Episode 6)

"Taiwan's Station in the UK" (Episode 6) To promote Taiwanese pastries in the UK, one must understand the tastes that the British like. So I decided to take it a step further and join the Cambridge Country Market organization to sell pineapple cakes to foreigners at the open market in the center of Cambridge. I worked hard to understand the local tastes. I did that for more than four years until the market had to close its stall in Cambridge after 52 years due to a lack of manpower. At the market, I learned a lot about life and work attitudes from those elderly British ladies, and also learned some English. Even in the freezing winter, setting up a stall...
